#3: Excess Fat Means More Inflammation
- Fat is not an inactive part of your body – it doesn’t just sit there, it impacts a lot of other functions, organs and capacities to heal.
- Fat cells also contribute to the creation of compounds that cause inflammation in the body.
- If you have cosmetic surgery or plastic surgery, inflammation can interfere with your healing processes and surgical incision line/wound repair.
Inflammation certainly has a place in the healing process, as it brings additional nutrients to the impacted area, to enable healing to occur.

- Having a high BMI is also associated with having a fatty liver.

Being overweight, often means your liver functions less than optimally.

When your liver isn’t working optimally as it should, it’s common to have skin outbreaks, headaches, menstrual pain, pain over your liver, fatigue, allergies or sensitivities to certain foods and chemicals, and even greater amounts of pain.
