Anti-Wrinkle Injectables and Dermal Filler Treatments for Anti-Aging
Most people think of a Facelift or Necklift when it comes time to help nature along in terms of reducing the normal signs of ageing. But did you know there are numerous non-surgical options for anti-ageing and facial rejuvenation? Skin treatments using light based therapies and deep peels – and cosmetic injection treatments – have evolved a lot over recent years. Anti-Wrinkle injections and dermal fillers (TGA approved temporary filler injectables) are increasingly sought to restore lost facial volume due to ageing.
These injections can also help to reduce deep lines and facial wrinkles. They can plump up lips to restore lip volume, enhance cheekbones that may have atrophied with age, and minimise the appearance of ‘tear troughs’ or crow’s feet around the eye lid area.
Cosmetic injections can even be used to give your skin and face a boost, leaving you looking a bit more refreshed, more youthful and potentially allowing you to forestall having a facelift or eyelid lift for a few more months or years. Injectables can also be handy to rejuvenate your facial appearance before a big event, such as a wedding or public speaking engagement. Not only do injectable treatments result in little down time (allow about 3 to 4 weeks for best results), they can give your face a genuine boost. You’ll notice a subtle, natural looking improvement after injection treatments, so long as you choose a senior Injecting Clinician (our Plastic Surgeons work alongside Melbourne’s favorite injectors, Prav, Kay and Sandra at Coco Ruby Skin & Anti-Ageing clinics in Hawthorn, Berwick and Williamstown).
Injectables can reduce forehead worry lines and crow’s feet or marionette lines. They can also revive your skin from having a worried or overly-tired appearance.
With cosmetic injection treatments, you can achieve smoother skin around your eyes, mouth, lips and forehead. You can enhance your lips for a fuller or plumper lip look, as well as reduce lines around your nose or mouth – creating a more radiant smile with fewer tell-tale laugh lines.
Our Specialist Plastic Surgeons work with the Coco Ruby Skin & Anti-Ageing Team for Anti-Wrinkle Injectables Treatments and Dermal Fillers
Our Coco Ruby Cosmetic Injecting Team in Melbourne use a range of quality brand special muscle relaxant injectables to temporarily disable the particular muscles that cause your wrinkles and creases.
These injections can last for around 3-6 months, sometimes up to 8 months for some patients. They can also be used to treat excessive sweating (hyperhidrosis) and reduce teeth grinding.
Our senior Cosmetic Injecting Clinicians also offer dermal volumising treatments using dermal filler injections. These help enhance your natural features and can replace some of the lost facial volume in the cheek area, lips or jawline; resulting in less lines and wrinkles and reducing the hollowed cheek look that creeps into our faces as we age.
Dermal fillers and cosmetic injections are increasingly popular, as reduced facial volume (hollow looking eyes or cheeks or thinning lips) are common signs of ageing.
If you’re not ready for a Facelift or necklift, but want a younger looking face – ask about our Injection Treatments at Coco Ruby, located in our Plastic Surgery Clinics in Hawthorn East and Berwick (with Williamstown coming soon).
Is it time for facial rejuvenation or feature enhancement using cosmetic injectables such as Dermal Fillers or Anti-Wrinkle Injection treatments?
If you’re considering injectables, ask yourself these questions.
- Look older than you feel?
- Want to reduce facial wrinkles?
- Worry about your deep lines and troughs?
- Suffer from bags and dark circles under the eyes?
- Find your cheeks are hollowing out due to lost volume?
- Feel your face is starting to sag or droop?
- See the edges of your mouth turning down and jowls forming?
- Believe your lips have become thin and pursed looking?
Then non-surgical Injectables might be the perfect solution for you!
What Are Cosmetic Injectables (Dermal Fillers or Anti-Wrinkle Injections) and how can they rejuvenate your facial appearance?
Injectables cover a wide range of different products used in modern anti-ageing treatments. They are highly effective at temporarily reducing the signs of ageing. Often, they are combined with facial surgery (facelift or eyelid lift surgery) for a full face rejuvenation and feature augmentation approach.
Injection treatments can include special muscle relaxants that temporarily disable the specific muscles that cause your wrinkles and deep lines to form. Other injectables might include dermal fillers (dermal volumisers). These help restore lost facial volume and can plump up your cheek bones and lips – or even firm up your jawline to reduce some early facial skin sagging. They can also be used as a chin augmentation procedure to enhance a mildly recessed chin.
We use TGA Approved Dermal Filler solutions
Dermal fillers use a smooth injectable gel, made of a a TGA approved temporary-filler-solution, injected below the skin to fill in wrinkles, plump up lips and volumise larger areas like the cheeks. Due to advertising laws of injectables, we are not able to state brand names on our website; however, we DO use high quality, TGA approved dermal fillers that consist of a type of solution that is also naturally found in the body (the base of the solution injected is similar to the naturally occurring acid product that your body produces on its own).
Our expert team of Plastic Surgeons only use the best, high quality injectables that are temporary in nature. Our injectables are long lasting but still give you the option to change your appearance or revert to how you looked before you enhanced your features once the temporary effect wears off.
Our expert Plastic Surgeons do not use permanent fillers as they can lead to serious, unwanted long term effects. Our Surgeons have decades of experience in Plastic and Cosmetic Surgery to ensure you have only the most qualified professional performing your injections.

What does an Injectables Treatment Involve?
Injectables are a non-surgical procedure that involves injecting gel or muscle relaxant beneath the skin. This is performed by our highly-trained, experience Plastic Surgeons.
Procedures generally take between 15-30 minutes with results you will see immediately! Most people can resume normal activities immediately after the procedure. For increased comfort, some of our injectables even contain a small amount of local anaesthetic.
How Long do Anti-Wrinkle Injection Treatments Last?
Injectable treatments for dermal fillers can last from between 8-18 months. For anti-wrinkle injections, they can last from 4 months to up to 10 months or longer – typically top up injections are best to keep the wrinkles at bay; and if your wrinkles are already long ingrained, you may need more injections before you see a significant effect. But most people see results within 7 to 10 day of an anti-wrinkle injections.
Are there Injection Side Effects?
There are some side effects that can come with your injectables treatment. These include:
- Redness around the injection site
- Lumps and bumps
Generally these side effects are temporary and will subside within a week. Always keep in close contact with your expert Surgeon and Support Team if you have any concerns.
Why Have Injectables with a Plastic Surgeon?
Do you know the difference between Plastic and Cosmetic Surgeons? Plastic Surgeons hold the highest qualifications in their field. As well as their plastic surgeon qualifications, they also hold qualifications in Cosmetic and Reconstructive surgery. To ensure you have the best possible care and treatment, these surgeons often belong to industry bodies who do not accept memberships from general or cosmetic surgeons. Plastic Surgeons are held to high standards, requiring 12 years of surgical experience before being given the title of Plastic Surgeon. As a result, you can be assured that your injectable treatment will be done in the safest possible surrounds and to the highest possible standards.
Do not let cheap, backroom clinics and tourist surgery fool you. To avoid the unwanted, serious side effects of questionable injectables done by inexperienced doctors, always ensure you do your research and choose an accredited Plastic Surgeon.
Renowned for their surgical expertise and scar minimisation skills, our leading Specialist Plastic Surgeons and Injecting Teams can help you achieve the look you desire.
